It is a five-minute walk from Nové Štrbské Pleso and fifteen minutes on foot from Štrbské Pleso lake, with private parking in the underground garage. This is one of the most sought-after spots in the Slovak mountains: superb pistes, a ski stadium and a ski jump are all close by, and a four-star hotel serving lunch and dinner is three minutes away. The apartment sits at 1,400 metres above sea level, right on the edge of the Tatra National Park. The walking trails are magnificent in both winter and summer — above all the route to Kriváň, the mountain that is a symbol of Slovakia, and to the Skok waterfall, a favourite with nature photographers, a short distance from the Kempinski hotel. The trail to Popradské Pleso and its symbolic cemetery is equally beautiful. The rack railway stop for Tatranská Štrba is two minutes away, and the cable car to Solisko runs all year round. The clean mountain air at this altitude is valued for the treatment of respiratory conditions, and the surroundings have served as a location for several well-known films.

Smrek Martina, apartment no. 57, includes a terrace. Ski passes are available for purchase and ski equipment can be hired.
